GeoTech's TerraFlex™ and Geoinclusion® Based Solutions

The answer to many engineering problems involving lateral earth forces could be mitigated if there was a material that could be buried to serve as a soil "shock-absorber."

Historically, materials such as cardboard, hay, and even recycled tire chips have been considered for this purpose. All of these have unique disadvantages, as well as the common problem of being very difficult to quantify in terms of their compressibility over time.

TerraFlex is a new product, patented as recently as 1998. It is a synthetic material which is extremely light weight and which has very well defined properties that reveal it to be a superior product for use in compressible inclusion applications.
